Christian Dior - Fall Winter 2010/2011 Full Fashion Show Part 1/2

To me this is one of the loveliest collections for fall, i love the textures and the way they handled the light weight leather fabric. I also love the distressed lace and thigh high boots. The entire show was "warm" to me, with a classical vintage essence. And the accessories, like the mad hatter hat was just adorable. I could go on and on, but instead i will let you see for yourself. i will be posting more fashion shows soon, and hopefully more (better) pics. Also i will be doing more post on my trends forecasting for fall 2010/2011. I'm just picking out which trends i think is gonna be the hottest.

Just Trying new stuff out

Well, I havent been shopping yet, i decided to wait and do a good ol fall shopping. So Yeah, i just wanna enjoy summer with the stuff i have. Its crazy they already have all the fall stuff like boots for sale, I know im gonna get a new jacket, as well as fall makeup....Wait, i have enough of that, but i just thought id post a thought.... till next time.

Ive been reading This book by Lauren Stover called "The Bombshell Manuel of Style". This book talks about bombshells like Marilyn Monroe, Dorothy Dandrige, and Sophia Lauren, and Jane Mansfield just to name a few. She studied them, and everything that makes them a bombshell. Vixen Vintages blog is where i discovered this book, and it is just the cutest read! Well, I love it. She mentions thinks like what a bombshell eats, wears, dresses, uses makeup, and even tempers. I've gotten a lot of inspiration from this book, so just check it out.

My inspiration for Summer!

I loved a lot of these styles, I still am trying to get mine down. Im getting close, like the only thing i get is my whole silhouette meaning my clothing cut and styles, which look good on me. Mainly flattering, but any hoo, I'll keep updating, I know its been a minute but just busy.... sorry i know no excuse.

Kelis album "Flesh Tone" review and sales

You guys, as much as i love Kelis music, I just cant today, i was so disappointed by her new album "Flesh Tone", to me is just......whack. O.k I went from lovin "Milkshake" Then "Bossy" to this techno stuff? It was horrible, it just sounded like she was repeating the same words over and over again. And the first track on the album (name escapes me, after the intro) makes it seem like Kelis can't sing! Why......why.....why!!!!! One of my best friends boyfriend works in music, and said her album sounds like basic techno, and he would know because he loves techno. Youtubers reviewed it and said it sounds poorly put together. And on top of that, I heard it only sold 5,000 copies its opening day! So so sad, I think Kelis needs a new manager, she needs a new direction. Why didnt she get Kanye to produce a track or two? Well, she was on a budget, i read on the web that she didn't have enough money to pay the producers, so she recorded in her own private studio, and paid them with a home cooked meal. If i find the article I'll link it. Well, I fear she may get dropped again. But keep going Kelis, because you have a big fan base, and they believe in you, but for some reason, your not grabbing them. She needs to go back to RnB.

Kylie Y'all

o.k, I love Kylie Minougue, and she is coming out with a new album next week, along with Kelis of course. So I'm just gonna go buy both probably Wednesday. Anyway. I wanted to post this new video from Kylie called "All The Lovers" and at first i was a little "ify" about this video and the meaning until I read up on what it meant. The message is supposed to be like love without prejudice. I just wanna say she is one of my favorite artist so I'm psyched. In this interview, i love her outfit, and her make up is flawless. She is so fun to watch in videos. Enjoy!

Kelis Y'all!!!!

May I say as a true Kelis fan that this woman always manages to deliver unique music as well as videos. She is, to me, a fashioin icon. She inspires hairstyles and wears the hottest outfits. I think she has a unique voice and even her fan base is versitle. I cant wait for her album to come out July 6 2010, spin magazine already said it was hot, but i didnt need to hear that from them, Kelis always delivers. I love her song "Accapella", and this new hit "4th of july" just makes me know it's just gonna get better! The album is called "Flesh Tone" and i dont care how long i have to look, im gonna get that makeup she used for the look in the begining of the vid!

Neutrals I'm Loving

Look at these shoes! and the overall style. I'm feelin' these trench coats too. And yes i did try to buy the basket weave heels with the bow and low and behold my size is was gone :( Phooey! But I'm use to that. You know what? I wish shoe companies would make more size 8 to 10 shoes. Everywhere I go, it seems that their sold out and then all the tiny feet people have like the cutest shoes that no one buys, so then they go on sale for a dirt cheep price! UGH! but enough of me belly aching. I decided that since I'm not "all over Vintage" all the time, that i would be "Cherry Fashion" and just swing it that way, and more quality content and better pictures are coming too so as always thanks for baring with me and tell me what you think of the new look

So, I wanted to make my own logo and drew this, well i like it, its a manikin cherry and a rose. In a clock, this is what I thought of when i said vintage. Well we will see how long this last, i don't know! o.k good night!

I'm Gonna Re-do the Blogg

I have been having a time trying to finalize a look for my blog that i feel comfortable with. So if your not seeing a lot of post from me, fear not. The whole look and feel of my blog is gonna change because I still love vintage clothing, but I'm more for elements and key pieces. I want a more up to date look with a cleaner style. And I want to talk more about fashion as a whole. Ive been researching my look and just wanted to be more sleek.....You'll see, and The name is gonna change too. So stay up to date.

My Core Style is ROMANTIC !

Through extensive research, Ive discovered my core style is "Romantic", so i started to purchase more clothes that fit that genre. For example, ruffles Lace, antique jewelry, etc. I love vintage, and a lot of my pieces are lacy, floral, antique's cuts and designs. So now I'm trying to find what type of romantic style i am. I really love floral and lace, pleated skirts, Girly but not to girly. Here's some pics that help me. Oh, and the movie "Marie Antoinette" with Kirsten Dunst is one of my favorite movies and my favorite part is the country part she calls her "little village" i love the country. Ive been Loving the store "Zara" I honestly would buy everything in there! Its completely my style. Romantic country vintage, Hmmmmmm Oh well, at least i know my style is Romantic, so now its time to make a signature style. OK. ill keep ya posted :)

I cleaned my closet out!!! I went nuts!

O.k, so I've decided to really clean my closet and understand what my personal style is, because i just felt all over the place. I got rid of so much stuff! I'm talking about impulse buys, things that couldn't fit, things that were damaged, shoes i don't wear anymore, etc. I must say it was very therapeutic, just looking at how much money i wasted, just ridiculous. But at least i can start from scratch, save up, and do proper shopping. I needed this, I will be 30 next year, so its important for me to dress my age and just evolve. I mean you shouldn't shop at forever 21 for the rest of you life! There are some cute stuff there, but as i grow my taste grows too, and i just don't see myself wearing certain brands anymore, just because of quality and style. The stores I'm into now are Zara, Banana Republic, and Vintage stores. I just love the styles and of course i stay true to my vintage forever. I'm excited, i hope to have my personal style down very soon, indefinitely. I will keep y'all posted....o.k?

I came to an epiphany!

i came to an epiphany! I don't know my own personal style yet!I thought i did, but something wasn't their with my look, so i decided to clean my closet and start re-organize my closet and start to really did deep about my personal style. Also I'm trying to get back into blogging more often. Its been busy at work, but that's no excuse! so bear with my, there's gonna be some changes to my looks. you'll see! ;)

Chloe Sevigny Vintage Look

Almost all of the vintage Divas Ive seen is gushing over this look. I for one love it. It is so cute, and all the elements in this look are balanced. The masculine blazer jacket, and the feminine shorts and color, oh and yes, THE BOATER HAT!!! Yeah i get excited thinking about it. But i digress, boater hats are lovely, and i want more! This look, i will replicate....did i mention i love this look....ok I'll hush up now :) By the way, what era vintage is this look?

Boater Hats!

Yes, boater hats are all the rage, and i couldn't be happier, they're sooooo cute. Their versitile and come in diffrent styles. At one time, top shop was selling boater hats in diffrent colors, and low and behold, all sold out! That sucks, but oh well, exspecially when i can make my own. Yes i will be giving a tutorial on how to make your own boater hats. Its easy, and the best part is you can be real creative and make it unique! But for now, just enjoy this little collage i put together, hopfully it will inspire you. I love 'em the one im wearing in my festival pics came from Icing accesoris. Henjoy!

Im very pleased to add a second addition to this section. I introduce to you
SONNY

I was hanging out with my fam during the festival, and spotted Sonny. I was very fortunate, because I walked all over, and saw some good candidates, but they were missing something. I couldn't put my finger on it.....the camera button. I mean no one was authentic vintage, so yeah, Sonny was sent from the "Fashion Gods". She's unique, stylish, has a great personality, pretty and exactly what vintage represents in my opinion. Her whole look was on point, and so lets get started:

The Dress: This beautiful blue dress, came from a Vintage store call Rag-o-Rama, and is polyester material with lace detail at the top and bottom trim. I love the versatility of this dress, its not too heavy, and the color isn't overly bright. Its very feminine and was perfect for the occasion.

The Accessories: I feel so bad that I didn't get a closer pic because the accessories are beautiful. I think she said her rings and necklace were silver vintage with colored stones, and her watch she said she bought at the festival. The red shades were from Rag-o-Rama.

The Shoes: These yellow strappy or "peek a boo" hells, as some would call them, also came from Rag-o-Rama. They were so cute and went well with the dress. Everything had a nice color contrast.

The overall look was stunning, and to me, she was a walking vintage master piece :)

Changes Changes Changes

To my blogger, i understand their has been some changes to the look of my site. Let me explain. Yeah.....it got a little to fru fru to me. I wanted something more me, so i created my own art work, and decided to put more of my personality into my blog. Ive seen a lot of other blogs, and decided that I wanted to post more pictures of my life, as well as updates and ideas of trends. I felt like i wasn't being relaxed in my postings. i wanted to be more creative in everything i do, so i revamped my blog, and updated my style. I love vintage and Ive always tried to incorporate it in my everyday outfits, but until i got on Chictopia, i didn't realize how many different vintage there was. There are some sharp dressers. Being on that site has made me more aware of my styling and helped me to focus on what i think needs work. Its so easy to dress other people, but when it comes to myself, it gets so difficult cause I second guess myself. Well, I feel better with the changes, and i hope you like it too.

Ruffles, Denim, Florals, White

Hey guys,

Just showing off a trend I've been seeing everywhere, I like to call it the "Home on the Range" look. Basically i see a lot of ruffles, denims, floral, and white on everyone. I love these looks, but please mix it up, never let it get one note, blend patterns and don't just go for pastels all the time. What i love about denim is it is such a rescue item. I mean, you can pair anything with denim and its a go.
