Andy wharhol-ish

Abstract art is so cool!  Especially when your hairstyle didn't come out the way you expected. Lol color always offers a new perspective on things especially fashion I've been thinking of coloring my hair but I don't know, things are just easier when you don't have to do touch ups every other week. But maybe the right hair do will do the trick!  As far as fashion this summer, color is gonna be my major goal. Being stylish and creative is one in the same anyway right?

Weekly Favorite Style Like you

I've always loved how ambitious this blogger was about fashion. She writes like someone way beyond her age group. Her style is very unique, and to me this is how I wish more young people would be. Honestly Tavi's style is her own, not everyone needs to be that eclectic, but if anything, stay true to who you are. Enjoy the video.

The perfect inspiration Cottage!

I couldn't wait to post this, I saw it a while back on another blog and decided to go to the NY online website and check it out. I'm posting it here because it's something that I truly want to keep on my site for years to come. Your fee to view them. Let me know what you think. I want to be able to build a spot like this out on my property, and just go inside to write my articles and think of new idea's. It's just the perfect hide away, and probably nice and cool in the summer ah just drool...lol!

My Yummy Breakfast Morning!

My Coffee House Crawl!

So I've decided to do what I call a "Coffee House Crawl" meaning just hit up random Coffee Houses I've never been before and take pictures. Since I'm a Fashion Journalist, I decided to take pictures where I work (from my laptop, since I'm Freelance) and places that inspire me. I'm just gonna post pictures, I'm not advertising any places really. Here's the link here if anyone is interested in visiting the places I post. I have to admit, I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I enjoy places other than home where I can create interesting fashion articles. I'm reading something a little different today. It's books about soap making :D It's something I'm embarking on for my Wellness Site Quinn Couture. It's a wellness and fashion site, but my blog is just more personal. Here I'll discuss fashion collections I like and my everyday life. On Quinn couture, its more of a general perspective on fashion, not mentioning any particular brand, but more of ideals and developing your own personal fashion sense and wardrobe organization, styling etc. O.k till next post.
Enjoy!

Great Interview from Stylelikeu

Cassandra Kellogg Closet Interview with StyleLikeU from StyleLikeU on Vimeo.

So one of my absolute favorite fashion sites is Stylelikeu.com! This is just one of many of my favorite interviews. I swear, I feel like I could be real friends with a lot of the people they interviewed. I feel like they all have true style and a passion for fashion. I suggest you all give it a change... the site and "Freedom Fashion". Even if you think people might scoff or giggle, remember... THEIR IDIOTS! Its hard to express eclectic style to close minded people. Don't worry, if they're negative, they'll get over it :)

Thanks!
Note: I have so much spring stuff but you'll see that soon. Also this year Im working hard to be a Chictopia Style Icon. So definitely vote for me if you like my outfits.

Jean Paul Gaultier offends Amy Winehouse Dad!

Yes, the late Amy Winehouse's dad, Mitch Winehouse, was up in arms because of the resent spring couture 2012 fashion show by Jean Paul Gaultier. The show was supposed to be a tribute to Amy, but her father didn't see it that way. He claimed the show was done in bad taste and entirely too soon. It's been 6 months since the Grammy award winning singer died of an overdose last year. What really upset her dad were the models dawning Amy's iconic beehive and cat eyeliner, while wearing black veils. I honestly don’t think Jean Paul meant any disrespect to Amy’s fans or loved ones. I'm an Amy Winhouse fan, and I wasn't offended by the show, but watching the models wear black veils did make me feel a little sad. I thought the fashion was stellar, and I felt Amy’s style brought his vision to life. Was Amy's dad over reacting about the show? Do you think the Jean Paul Gaultier was offensive? Did you think the show paid tribute to Amy's legacy in a respectable way? Comment Below!

Adam Spring 2012

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

ADAM is one of my favorite designers, and spring is my second favorite season. This collection combines spring with feminine silhouette and pastel colors. This collection reminds me of Stella McCartney’s resort collection 2011. Not exactly though, I mean floral patterns are extremely common in spring. My only wish is that designers would reach a little further with this theme. I still love the floral patterns though. The prints remind me of vintage inspired patterns. The color palette is beautiful with its various tones of pinks, and lavenders. There’s plenty of sheer goin’ on, that’s for sure. Some blouses where so see through, the models might as well had been topless. It shows how delicate the fabric is. I bet it's a light weight silk. The colors contrasted nicely against the off white pants and coats, it just emphasized the patterns even more. All and all, this collection has my attention, its clean ADAM understand feminine style and form.

Prada Shoe 2012

I just wanted to give this shoe it's own spotlight. I absolutely love key items like this. It stand out so beautifully AND its something everyone loves but won't admit it! As much as people shy away from things that are outside the norm, low and behold they're the first ones to grab the cool ish at the thrift store. Anyway, I'm just completely in love with the Prada shoe collection this season. My style is eccentric to say the least, I guess it comes with being a natural head... Alright Alright, that has nothing to do with it, I'm just quirky like no ones business.

O.k
Next time.

Angry Birds Evening Gown?

While researching topics to discuss, I came across this picture on google. Teija Vesterbacka, wife of Peter Vesterbacka (CMO of the company that created the hit game "Angry Birds") modeled a gown that resembled a bird from the game. She wore THAT dress to The Presidential Palace in Finland at a function celebrating Finlands independence on Tuesday night.

I can't believe anyone would go to their local grocery store in this gown let alone a prestigious event at a palace! Are you kidding me? I admire her for wanting to represent her hubbies company, but she needs to leave the game adverts to the billboards. Come on now, the game is successful enough she doesn't need to be a walking gimmick. sorry this gown was straight up "clown-ish" to me! She looked ridiculous. But what do YOU think? Leave a comment ;)
